Mark J. Mahosky of Mifflinburg received the B.F.A. in Painting from The Tyler School of Art of Temple University and a M.F.A. in Painting from Stanford University. Among his awards are a Cadogan Fine Arts Fellowship from the San Francisco Foundation, a Residency from the Cite International des Arts, Paris, and a travel grant from Rice University.
He has taught at Stanford, Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Moravian College, Rice, The Tyler School, and is currently a lecturer in advanced drawing and painting at Susquehanna University. He has delivered visiting artist lectures at the Tyler School, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, And the Allentown Art Museum. In 1991 he co-authored and developed the Visual Arts curriculum and History of the Visual Arts curriculum for Schuylkill County's Magnet School for the Arts.
Mr. Mahosky has had numerous exhibitions including the Janet Fleisher Gallery, Bucknell University, Cite International des Arts of Paris, The Gimple Weitzenhoffer Gallery in New York, the Sally Sprout Gallery in Houston, the Allentown Art Museum, Gettysburg College, and Lehigh University. His latest showing opens in June at The Fleisher/ Ollman Gallery in Philadelphia.
