The April 11 deadline is too close for us to attempt a nomination for 2001. Sam and Romayne will meet to develop a plan for nomination by BHCA of candidates for 2002. Citizens for the Arts in PA is holding an Advocacy for the Arts seminar in Harrisburg on April 24th. Cost is $10; pre-registration is required.

Committee reports:

BHCA Gallery at the Gamble Mill: Lower than anticipated attendance at the reception for the current show was attributed to the snowstorm and spring break. Paul met the executive director of the Southern Allegheny Museum of Art, who attended and applauded the show. Paul also reported a very favorable response on the part of local media to the show. Coming up at the gallery is a collection of children's art, "Art of the Bellefonte Schools, put together by Karen Baker. This show will start on April 21, with a reception on Tuesday, April 24"', and will run through June 2"d. N.B. The Art Alliance has a new website: artalliancepa.org

Summer Sounds: A tentative schedule has been drawn up, with four definite dates so far. Colina's new idea is to hold a poster contest for the summer concert series. The artist of the winning entry would receive a monetary prize, and BHCA would print copies of the poster to sell at the concerts. Colina is researching the logistics and costs.

Film Forum: No report.

Library Concerts: A flutist duo will perform on the 25th of April.

Victorian Christmas: No report.
