Bellefonte Victorian Christmas:
The middle school and the elementary school venues will be integrated into one venue at the middle school.Poetry
(Julia, Colina) - “Out Loud” poetry and literary readings and discussions at the Bellefonte Art Museum (BAM) cosponsored by BHCA and BAM. The last reading on 4/25 was Becky Rumble’s (student teacher) 9th grade class presenting to 15+ people. The poetry committee requested support for refreshments. A motion to approve $50 per event, $250 total (Joanne, Joseph) passed unanimously. Fridays, 7:30 PM at the Bellefonte Art

Edible Landscape Garden
- Jim & Chris Murell will remove sod and rototill the new addition to the garden on Saturday, 5/3. On Saturday, 5/10 at 1 PM, a work crew will spread top soil and replace bricks at the new margin.Talleyrand Park Committee
(True) - A $12000 grant will fund a new mud-sill on the north bank of Spring Creek upstream from the pedestrian bridge, and log retainers on the south side. The work will be done after the summer Arts and Crafts Fair. Native shrubs will be planted in the same area. The Borough is considering relocating the old storage building from the Bush House site to the new addition of the Talleyrand Park, probably near Snappy’s.Historic Preservation Committee
(Jeanne) - Jeanne spent time with Sue Hannegan reviewing her 1994 survey of 52 less well known properties plus photographs of every property in the Historic District. Since the work was publicly funded, it should be availabe to the public. Jeanne would like to see it online, and Patrick suggested an interactive website. Erin Hammerstedt did a thorough documentation of the industrial sites on the waterfront. “Industrial Heritage of the Bellefonte Waterfront District” is available on the Borough website - click here for that seriesBylaws
- The Bylaws which were presented to the BHCA membership via email on April 10, 2014 were adopted unimously. The new bylaws are in effect from the time of passage. Two amendments will be considered at the next meeting.New Business:
