Present: Keith Koch, President, Romayne Naylor,
Vice-President , Jim Dunne, Secretary, Dave Eggler, Joann & Dick Knupp,
Gay Dunne, Jeanne Newlin, Sally Houser, True Fisher, Colina & Ralph
Seeley, Gary & Susan Hoover, Joseph Griffin, Melady Kehm. Philip Ruth,
Julia Kasdorf, Mary Vollero. A quorum was in attendance as defined by
the BHCA bylaws.

Treasurer’s Report (Dave Eggler,
click here for the report) - Dave reviewed the report.
The Arts & Crafts Fairs is the money maker. Romayne asked if BHCA pays
for music st union scale. No (JoAnn, Jim & Dave) Treasurer report
approved (Ralph, True).
Committee Reports:
Summer Sounds (JoAnn): Summer Sounds need new people. It was a
successful season. The one rain out was Tommy Wareham. 30 attended.
Repaz Band to be asked for next year -They are from Williamsport - the
oldest community band in country.
Sunday
Afternoons at the Library (Jim): Sundays, 2:30 PM at CC Library &
Historical Museum. Dianne Toulson has almost finished with the
concert schedule.

Edible Landscape Garden (Jim): Wonderful year because of
favorable rain. The expanded space works very well. Swiss chard
provided to Faith Center food bank.
Bellefonte Victorian
Christmas
(Sally JoAnn): JoAnn reported tha the house tour will include the homes
of the Decusatis & Bill Tressler, The Centre County Library which is
celebrating its 200th anniversary, and possibly the Hastings Mansion.
Still others possible.
Arts & Crafts Show - George Baney can’t make the date,
but should have another group to operate the model railroad exhibit..
Kiwanis will do breakfast with Santa in the Middle School Cafeteria, and
the Rotary will do lunch.
Poetry (Julia, Colina) - At the Bellefonte Art Museum, Fridays,
7:30 PM
Fliers were distributed. Theresa Stauffer is organizing a poetry group
and will be involved in the poetry sessions. They will present readings
1st Monday
each month, 3:30-5 PM at Cool Beans. Bellefonte Moth - personal
stories - in preparation by Julia. MC - Ann McCarthy was involved in
first PRX radio Moth Hour. Candy Dannaker is interested in story
telling in Bellefonte. Jerry Fisher, WBLF, may be interested in airing
on radio.

Old House Fair - . Melady wants to expand committee. Erin
Hamerstadt will be asked for ideas. Jackie Melander would offer some
advice. Sue Hannegan may help. Meeting to be planned week of Sept 28,
possibly for lunch. Volunteers welcome. Topic suggestions - multiple
(ask Melady) possibly 1 ˝ days. Oct or

Historic Preservation Committee - Need to set up committee
structure. Jeanne has some done some work with Sue Hannegan and is
doing some work on own with Sue’s survey. She has an index to Sue’s
survey Copies of survey are at Centre County Historical Museum
(labeled “Bellefonte Borough Survey - Sue Hannegan”) and the Borough.
53 houses were studied with reference to 200 houses. Melady may have
slides from Rob that go with report. Jeanne plans to scan the report.
Sue has taken photos of all houses in historic district. Garman -
Jeanne talked with Bruce Cramer about artifacts.
Talleyrand Park (True): Grant money is available for riparian
repair on the creek using mud sills and log veins. Work will begin very
soon. The brick walk along track at the Train Station will be
lengthened to accommodate longer trains
Board of Directors: Joanne Tosti-Vasey will replace Nancy Noll -
Appt by Keith
New Business/ Comments: Romayne - 40th BHCA anniversary will
occur in 2016. The 25th anniversary was celebrated shortly after
9/11/2001.
Gary - The Borough will replace Train Station gutters,
the down spouts will be repaired, and the bricks repointed. One train
car will be restored and available for short excursions.
Congratulations to the Bellefonte Historic Railroad Society for their
efforts.
Elections: The Bylaws designate a meeting in October as the
annual meeting at which time all officers are elected; Board of
Directors elections will be held next year.
ARTICLE VIII - OFFICERS
The officers of the organization shall be a President, Vice-President,
Treasurer, and Secretary.
Section 1. Election of Officers
All officers shall be elected from the membership at the Annual
Corporation Meeting, to serve for a term of one year or until their
successors are elected. They shall take office at the end of the annual
meeting of the year of their election.
No person shall be elected to the same office for more than four (4)
consecutive years. If any of the offices becomes vacant for any reason,
the office shall be filled by an election at the next general membership
meeting.

Jonathan Eburne, Jeanne Newlin, Patrick North, (Nancy Noll), Joseph
Griffin.
Nancy Noll resigned. Keith Koch appointed Joanne Tosti-Vasey to fill
her position.
